Lover is a 2018 Telugu film starring Raj Tharun and Riddhi Kumar in the lead roles. Annish Krishna directed the film while Harshith Reddy produced the film under Sri Venkateshwara Creations. Rajeev Kanakala, Subbaraju, Ajay and Rohit played other important roles in the movie.

Cast: Raj Tharun, Riddhi Kumar, Rajeev Kanakala,Ajay, Rohini.

Story-Screenplay-Direction: Annish Krishna

Producer: Harshith Reddy

Music: Sai Kartheek, Arko, Rishi Rich, Tanishk Bhagchi, Ankit Tiwari

Cinematography: Sameer Reddy.

Lover is story about a guy who designs bike. His main aim is to marry a girl and make a beautiful family. Then enters a beautiful girl in his life. How they fall in love and How hero solves the problem of Heroine is the rest of the story.

Lover from starting reminds us of scenes which we have seen several times before. Heroine hates hero in the beginning, Hero does something good for her then she falls for him, same thread is used in the film. Sub plot in the film reminds us of Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s Okadunnadu movie.

Artist Performance:

Raj Tharun did commandable job as the male lead. Riddhi Kumar who made her debut with this film doesn’t impress audience. Rajeev Kanakala, Ajay, Rohini did their part well. Satyam Rajesh and Praveen failed to generate comedy.

Technical Department:

It must be the Music which is a saving gracing in the film. All the songs were very good and picturised very well. Sameer Reddy camera work is top notch.

Annish Krishna who made a successful film Ala Ela failed to engage audience with Lover.

Production values from Sri Venkateshwara Creations are good.

Lover with a predictable story line doesn’t offer anything new to the audience. With a weak first half and average second half Lover is strictly a one time watch movie.

Final Verdict: Strictly a one time watch
